Product Description

New multi-component hot-dip galvanizing

Uses and Advantages

① Small alloy additions yield excellent results.

② The alloy has a broad range of applications and is suitable for various batch plating processes, including guardrails, vertical posts, structural components of various specifications and shapes, fasteners, ductile iron, malleable iron, and more.

③ Appropriately reduce the coating thickness to lower zinc consumption.

④ The zinc melt exhibits excellent fluidity, reducing burrs, zinc nodules, and flow marks, thereby improving surface quality; moreover, the adhesion between the coating and the steel substrate is significantly enhanced.

⑤ The coating surface is bright and smooth, with long-lasting passivation retention.

How to Use

① When using a multi-component hot-dip galvanizing alloy, galvanizing manufacturers generally do not need to modify their standard hot-dip galvanizing equipment or process. The zinc bath can be used in both the high-temperature and low-temperature zones, and the addition rate may range from 0.5 kg to 1 kg of alloy per ton of ferrous parts to be galvanized. Manufacturers can add the alloy to the zinc bath surface during the galvanizing operation based on the amount already added, thereby maintaining an appropriate level of alloying elements. The addition should be carried out by thoroughly stirring the zinc bath and continuously circulating the molten zinc within the bath to ensure rapid and uniform distribution until complete homogenization is achieved.

② Different multi-component alloys require different application methods; please contact the manufacturer directly, and their technical experts will provide after-sales service.

Precautions

① Before diluting the alloy, thoroughly skim off the zinc dross, then add the alloy according to the recommended ratio. Thereafter, each time zinc is replenished, add a multi-element hot-dip galvanizing alloy at 1% of the amount of zinc added.

② When adding alloy, add a slightly larger amount; after the alloy has melted, stir thoroughly, then allow it to stand for several hours before use.

③ When pinholes causing incomplete plating are detected on the plated parts, the addition of the multi-component alloy shall be halted.

④ When excessive slag adhesion and nodular deposits are observed, the zinc bath should be treated with a zinc bath purifier followed by skimming to remove the slag.

⑤ Control the iron content in the zinc bath to below 0.03% to ensure coating quality;

⑥ When the treatment of special materials is suboptimal, notify the manufacturer; additional alloying elements may be added to resolve the issue.
