Product Description

Zinc Ash Reductant

Uses and Advantages

① Compared with mechanical separation, even very fine zinc particles can be recovered and returned to the zinc pot.

② No additional pollutants are generated; the components in the zinc ash reducing agent prevent oxidation of the molten zinc and provide protective effects for the zinc.

③ The viscosity of the molten zinc does not increase, and the resulting compounds enhance wettability during hot-dip galvanizing, reduce zinc buildup, and improve zinc flow, resulting in superior surface quality.

④ It has a certain purifying effect on the zinc bath, improves the fluidity of the zinc melt, enhances the quality of galvanized parts, and reduces galvanizing costs.

⑤ A large amount of heat is released upon reaction with zinc ash. Approximately 50–70% or more of the pure zinc in the zinc ash can be recovered.

How to Use

① Dosage: Use 0.8–1 kg of zinc ash reducing agent per 100 kg of zinc ash.

② Move the zinc dross from the surface of the zinc pot to one end, break it up with a rake, and then evenly sprinkle the zinc dross reducer over the surface of the dross.

③ The dosage is 1 kg of zinc ash reducing agent per 100 kg of zinc ash.

④ Stir for approximately 10 minutes, until the zinc ash reducing agent has completely reacted.

⑤After this process, the zinc particles are reduced back into molten zinc. The zinc dross appears as a brown powdery material; the reduction process is complete once the residue is scooped out with a dross shovel.
